Amazing, I'm posting for the second day in a row. I guess I have some things on my mind.
I always enjoy entering a new season because things start changing and new weather watching oportunities arise. Now that we are getting into quite a beautiful season, Fall, it will be nice to leave the hot, muggy, humid Summer behind. Not that I do not like the Summer, but I find I like the notion that Summer is the time of vacations and no school. Of course, no longer a student this whole idea is kind of thrown out. Now I just get to work through the summer. Oh well. The good thing to leave behind is the weather. Out of all the seasons, my least favorite is Summer. I'm not a fan of hot weather. Being born in the Winter probably has something to do with this, I don't know. I'm looking forward to the cooler, colder weather and the falling leaves and snow. I'm just that kind of girl.
For now, I am quite happy to be welcoming Fall. Everyday on my way to and from work, I always look at the leaves to catch any that are changing color. Little by little this is happening. What I am most excited about is sitting on my front porch looking at the moutain out front covered with trees. I have been dreaming of this since buying our house. I have been thinking of brewing some hot cocoa or tea and sitting out on the porch sipping and staring off into the lovely Fall splendor with my husband. Just the little things make me happy and this is certainly something to which I am really looking forward. So welcome Fall and all your many wonders!

End of Summer - Start of New Things
So not having posted in a long while, it seems like the coming of Fall is near and so much is happening. My husband and I are still trying to get our library painted. The unfortunate thing is that he ended up getting poison ivy, which did go away. The funny thing is that he ended up getting stung by bees and it reintroduced the poison ivy and some sort of skin rash appeared as well. With the hot weather the very idea of painting in a room with no air conditioning was not appealing. Now things have calmed down a bit, except that work seems to be getting in the way. There are also so many family obligations and necessary things to do that getting one room painted seems to be proving to be quite a problem. We are hoping to have that moving this week so we can start to finish off another room in our new house.
The other thing of note is that I can no longer help with the painting and actually need to stay away since we have a little one on the way. This year has been full of so many adventures; this is certainly the biggest. We are extremely excited and looking forward to this new family addition!
As the Summer comes to a close, the Fall brings the end of the current life cycle in nature as the season moves into Winter. But these new blooms and plants are all just waiting anew for the coming of Spring just as my husband and I await the arrival of our special someone. So it may be the end of Summer, but it is certainly the beginning of many new things.
