So October started and is almost over with a flash. It’s hard to imagine where this month has actually gone, but it just seems like it was September. It’s probably because so much has been going on that the days have simply flown by. It also seems that I come home every weekday and go to bed since I have been so tired. That has probably made the time move quickly, plus there has been an activity just about every weekend this month as well as September. Pumpkin picking around the middle of the month, a wedding last weekend, and another one this weekend has kept us really busy. In between these events and many others, my husband and I have managed to see our baby (an ultrasound in September). How exciting! We also heard our baby’s heartbeat last week, which was wonderful too. Both events made us cry we are so happy.
Does the time just fly by because we are older and life keeps us busy? As kids there was nothing to worry about except what to do as a playtime activity and when we were going to eat next. There was school too, but there was nothing really to worry about with that. Not that I want to be a kid again because I essentially act like one everyday anyway. At least I try and keep lighthearted and positive even with the mundane tasks that are required like bills, dishes, and laundry. The best thing about this is that I at least get to spend the time with my husband working together on these activities. That makes them so much better. We can at least chit-chat and listen to music to pass the time doing chores.
With October almost over, it seems like Fall has almost virtually been bypassed for this year. There was some color, but not the extravagant bright colors that usually seem to fill the trees. With all the rain we have had, there has not been much time to enjoy the cooler weather. Before we know it, Winter will be here to cover the ground with its white snow. So make the best of the last few days of October, enjoy your Halloween celebrations, and breathe in the wonderful scents of Fall as we await the coming of a new season and a new year.
